Welcome to my studio!

This little room used to be for guests, but not any more. It's a good thing our nest is empty and there are other rooms for our visiting friends to stay in now, because I have claimed this room as my studio. It is slowly evolving into what I need it to be...a place for all my stuff, a place to retreat into and lose myself in a painting, a place to sit on the floor and pour over the library of art books I am accumulating.

I guess I kinda love this room. I like finding little treasures that make it quirky and unique. I like having a few fresh ideas hanging in plain sight to keep my creative hunger fueled. I like putting up my finished, almost-finished, and "will that ever be finished?" work on the lattice wall to remind me of where I've been and where I need to go next. Welcome to my studio, friends!

You are just outstanding and I can't believe you became such an accomplished artist in such a short time. You have certainly developed as a painter in just a few years. Now I know who I can leave all my art books to after Nancy and Satomi have their pick. This has been a concern to me because it doesn't take long to accumulate a huge supply of supplies - almost enough to start an entire art supply store and gallery. It is SUCH a fun hobby but YOU, on the other hand, have developed into a full fledged artist in a short period of time. Of course, I can imagine you have spent a good deal of time mastering this beautiful accomplisment. Vida has told me how good you are but I had no idea just HOW well you have developed. You will really be famous now that you have a web site to show the world. We will be anxious to hear the results of your endeavors worldwide!!! Dale and I wish you much success and hope to live long enough to see your name up there with Van Gogh,Georgia O'Keef, Degas. Cezanne and Monet. You are yet so young with time to march on. We are so proud of you, Wendy. We love what you have done and will continue to do. dale, Dona, Nancy and Tom and Satomi, We all love you very much.

So proud of you, your work is amazing and you are also a great writer. I love to see your blogs and new work. I wake up every morning to my painting in the bedroom and then into the livingroom to see my shell painting and the rose in the diningroom. I love it as it makes me think of you eveyday.
Keep up the great work. We love you.

Hello! My name is Wendy and I am passionate about oil painting! Whether in the studio or out in Mother Nature, I get lost in the experience of capturing on canvas the moment and the feel of what I am painting. I pour my love and energy into every single piece of artwork and I hope it shows! This blog is a place where I can use words to talk about art, painting, life, faith, things that make me laugh, and things that inspire. I love every response, so don't be shy about leaving a comment...
