I am NOT trying to drive y'all crazy with these "6 Squared" posts. (Yes, I am a bit excited; I can't lie) But we have been given a lovely announcement/invitation to post, so here I go, posting it! And I actually do have a friend who will be in the area next weekend and she plans to go!

What's 6 and squared? Paintings, of course! The Randy Higbee Gallery 6x6 Art Show is opening soon...and, in fact, is already open On Line. I'm so thrilled to have 2 paintings from our trip to Kiawah, South Carolina juried into this wonderful show. What an honor! I wish I could see it in person, but Tennessee is a long way from Costa Mesa, California so I had to ship my little paintings all by themselves.
For this art show there is a nationwide "call for artists" to apply by sending jpgs of work to be juried for acceptance. The size is specific...6"x6" only. I've had this show on my radar for awhile now and painted 4 paintings for submission. Happily, two were selected! It's so nice to be at the stage of my art journey that every little milestone is delightful. I've been doing a lot of thinking about how to maintain this fresh response to what the future brings. I mean, why not stay delighted with every experience? Just like with many things in life, this can be a choice. A good one! Visit DailyBrushwork.com to see all the beautiful paintings...mine are on page 6. Happy Dance!! Artsclamation! is an annual fine art sale benefiting the behavioral health services of Peninsula. Join us for this celebration of creativity! Saturday, November 4, 2017 9am – 5pm Lighthouse Knoxville 6800 Baum Drive Knoxville, TN I am happy to be packing up my car with paintings again...one last show for 2017. Here are a few works that I am hanging. If you are in Knoxville Saturday, drop by and say hi!

Hello! My name is Wendy and I am passionate about oil painting! Whether in the studio or out in Mother Nature, I get lost in the experience of capturing on canvas the moment and the feel of what I am painting. I pour my love and energy into every single piece of artwork and I hope it shows! This blog is a place where I can use words to talk about art, painting, life, faith, things that make me laugh, and things that inspire. I love every response, so don't be shy about leaving a comment...Archives
