I don't feel like I can wax eloquent here today; just going to speak from my heart. Today was my friend, Mimi Walsh's funeral. She had been having some ups and downs with her health the past few months and gamely gave up her darling independent living cottage for a large private room in the assisted living area of her retirement center. In true "Mimi Style", she eagerly anticipated fitting it out with many of her beautiful art objects from her cottage. Maybe she did so: I was to see her Sunday...she passed away Saturday. Oh, I will miss her. I wish you all could have met her. She would quickly become your dear friend, too. (if you want to read more about Mimi, see my January 2014 blog post)

Hello! My name is Wendy and I am passionate about oil painting! Whether in the studio or out in Mother Nature, I get lost in the experience of capturing on canvas the moment and the feel of what I am painting. I pour my love and energy into every single piece of artwork and I hope it shows! This blog is a place where I can use words to talk about art, painting, life, faith, things that make me laugh, and things that inspire. I love every response, so don't be shy about leaving a comment...Archives
