The Nashville Plein Air Artist organization, The Chestnut Group, partners with local historic and environmental groups to preserve and protect fragile natural areas. This year we have partnered with FORL....Friends of Radnor Lake, which you can read all about HERE. "Partnering", in our case. means painting. Lots and lots of painting. Morning, noon, and night painting. Plein air and studio painting. And all that effort results in many lovely paintings in a wildly popular art show happening in 10 days! Proceeds from the sale of art benefit FORL and enable them to acquire additional land, improve and educate the visitors' experience, and continue their environmental and historical research of the State Natural Area. Would you like to see some of the paintings in this years show?? CLICK HERE for the link to the art show page. And here are the paintings from my Radnor experience.... Thank you for reading my blog!

Hello! My name is Wendy and I am passionate about oil painting! Whether in the studio or out in Mother Nature, I get lost in the experience of capturing on canvas the moment and the feel of what I am painting. I pour my love and energy into every single piece of artwork and I hope it shows! This blog is a place where I can use words to talk about art, painting, life, faith, things that make me laugh, and things that inspire. I love every response, so don't be shy about leaving a comment...Archives
